Und das sind nur einige der Ergebnisse, die jetzt eine CareerBuilder-Umfrage unter mehr als 5200 Arbeitnehmern zutage förderte. Zwar dürfte es wenig überraschen, dass Vertriebsmitarbeiter ihre Handys mit 66 Prozent täglich häufiger als jede andere Berufsgruppe nutzen (Fachkräfte im Dienstleistungssektor: 59 Prozent; Angestellte des Gesundheitssektors: 50 Prozent), dafür ist umso erstaunlicher, wo überall die Menschen zum Telefon greifen, obwohl sie sich eigentlich auf eine ganz andere Sache konzentrieren sollten:
- 62 Prozent telefonieren auch noch während einer Mahlzeit.
- 60 Prozent checken Büromails auch im Urlaub.
- 57 Prozent telefonieren, simsen, mailen im Bad.
- 51 Prozent lesen oder schreiben Mails damit auch beim Autofahren.
- 50 Prozent gehen auch nachts, im Bett liegend ans Handy.
- 25 Prozent nutzen das Smartphone im Kino, Theater, Musical.
- 18 Prozent gehen auch bei einer Verabredung ans Mobiltelefon.
- 17 Prozent können das Smartphone selbst im Fitnessstudio nicht aus der Hand legen.
- 17 Prozent telefonieren noch bei einer Kinderveranstaltung.
- 11 Prozent nutzen das Gerät sogar im Gottesdienst.
Kein Wunder, dass dabei die Grenzen zwischen Arbeit und Freizeit längst verschwimmen. Schließlich sind die meisten Betroffenen daran auch irgendwie selbst schuld. So offenbarte die Umfrage zugleich: Ganze 21 Prozent der Befragten gaben zu, bei jedem Vibrationsalarm oder Klingeln sofort zum Handy zu greifen. Mein Tipp: Einfach mal nicht erreichbar sein! Das geht – ich weiß das aus Erfahrung. Mein iPhone ist zurzeit in Reperatur…

Die fälle da oben sind ja noch harmlos! Mein Vater ist vor einigen Jahren während unseres frankreichurlaubs extra in die Nachbarstadt gefahren um mit seinen Kollegen zu telefonieren, weil wir in unserem Ferienhaus keinen Empfang hatten!
Ich finde irgendwo sollte es Grenzen geben! Beim Abendessen geht ja noch, aber wenn man sich extra zwei Wochen frei nimmt und dann während der halben Fahrt nur geschäftlich telefoniert.
Dann wundert es mich auch nicht, wenn man sich nicht entspannen kann!
Smartphones sind nichts anderes, als zeitgenössische Sklavenhalsbänder: Jeder hat jederzeit für jeglichen verfügbar zu sein. Es gibt aber eine Lösung für das Problem. Einfach nicht drangehen! “Hab’s nicht gehört, es war zu laut.” könnte eine Entschuldigung sein für die, die eine brauchen. Jeder darf selbst entscheiden, wann er mit wem spricht. Und wenn nicht: selbst schuld. Aber viele brauchen das anscheinend, um sich “wichtig” zu fühlen. Juckt das einen freien Menschen? Woh kaum!
